Project Exploration is back for part 3.0!

Session 1 – Grades 3-5: How Can We Help? Fostering Global Citizenship

Back by popular demand! National Geographic Learning is excited to kick-off the academic school year with Project Exploration 3.0, an interactive and enriching virtual learning experience in English for Students Grades 3 – 5. As our global population continues to rise, how we produce and consume food continues to impact communities. Learners will use a variety of resources and texts to develop a deeper understanding of how we are all interconnected and learn more about global issues such as poverty, hunger, and how the lack of natural resources contributes to the food shortage in some parts of the world – all whilst building their English language and literacy skills.

 

This 30-minute online class will be hosted by National Geographic Learning’s own Engagement Consultant, DaVida Alston with a special guest appearance from a National Geographic Explorer! During the 30-minute session students will delve into important global issues as the they build skills in literacy, social studies, and critical thinking. Sign up you class today!

Session 2 – Grades 6-8: Who are Global Citizens? Becoming Globally Minded.

10:00am GMT/2:00pm GST

We are excited to announce our 1st student facing event for Middle School Students! Project Exploration 3.0 is a unique interactive virtual session in English for students Grades 6-8. Join us as students develop an understanding of global citizenship and how they may play an active role by working with others in their community and the broader global community to make our planet sustainable, peaceful, and fairer.

 

Learners will use a variety of text and resources to engage in research about sustainability all whilst building their English language and literacy skills. This 45-minute online class will be hosted by National Geographic Learning’s own Engagement Consultant, DaVida Alston Smith with a special guest appearance from a National Geographic Explorer! During the session students will delve into important global issues which are tailored to raise awareness about sustainability through student-centered activities designed to encourage critical thinking and promote 21st Century learning skills.
