Instinctively, when we see the word “assessment” many people think of standardized assessments or summative end of Chapter Tests. However, assessments can be used in a variety of ways both formally and informally and for many different purposes. In this webinar we will develop ‘the assessment story’ for our students by understanding the differences between assessment OF learning and assessment FOR learning.

We will explore examples of assessment for learning, developmentally appropriate and engaging strategies to use for assessments, and strategies to empower students to assess themselves.
